The Magic of Refraction As Light Passes Through Different Mediums (Practicum #1)  

In the experiment, students observed how light passing through water caused the arrow's direction to change. This refraction phenomenon demonstrates light bending as it moves between mediums, such as air and water. Students made an educated guess as to why this occurred and discussed with their peers.

Viewing Unicellular and Multicellular Organisms Under a Light Microscope (Practicum #3)

Students were given the opportunity to view various unicellular and multicellular organisms under a light microscope. They were asked to draw what they observed, calculate the total magnification, and identify whether or not they were looking at plant/animal cell(s). Six stations with prepared slides were set up and in groups of 2-3, students were asked to record their findings within a matter of three minutes (per station).  

Looking at Similarities and Differences Between Animal and Plant Cells (Practicum #3)

In this virtual lab, students were diving into plant and animal cells to observe the similarities and differences. They explored the various organelles, their function, and overall structure of the cell. Students were asked to label the parts of the cell as they completed the simulation while answering questions on a worksheet about cellular processes involved.

How the Heart Pumps Blood (Science Class - Tyndale University)

In my science class at Tyndale University, my peers and I had created science experiments that would be appropriate for elementary students. I chose to showcase how the heart pumps blood through the body. This experiment would be perfect for students once learning about the structure of the heart and how the circulatory system functions.
